Thomas C. Barry

Mr. Barry has been an active angel investor for over 30 years having built a personal portfolio for him and his family of approximately 15 angel investments. Additionally, he is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Zephyr Management, L.P., an investment management company which he founded in 1994. Zephyr has sponsored twenty two specialized investment funds with approximately US $2 billion in committed capital. Zephyr’s private equity funds have invested in Mexico, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Africa (Kingdom Zephyr Africa Management Company) and India. Zephyr also has sponsored marketable securities funds that invested in the stock markets of developing countries.

Prior to founding Zephyr, Mr. Barry was President and CEO of Rockefeller & Co., the investment management arm of the Rockefeller family, from 1983 to 1993. Previously, Mr. Barry was employed by T. Rowe Price Associates, Inc. from 1969 to 1982, where among other responsibilities he was President of Rowe Price New Horizons Fund and Director of Research.

Mr. Barry received an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1969 and an undergraduate degree from Yale University in 1966 where he majored in Latin American Studies. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Mr. Barry is also a Trustee for several not for profit institutions.

Lillian Barry Anselmi

Lillian has recently teamed up with her Father full-time to assist with deal flow and due diligence on investment opportunities. Having spent the past several years on the operational side of start-ups, she is also involved with building strategies within the portfolio companies.

Prior to her joining her family office, Lillian was Director of Growth at Modalyst, a fashion technology company. During her time there she hired and managed a sales team, designed and oversaw content and SEO strategies, and drove overall growth in customer acquisition.

In 2009, she founded a womenswear label that specialized in garments made with hand-made Indian textiles and featured western silhouettes. She designed and managed the production of 3 full collections after which she was inspired to get involved with how technology was going to revolutionize the fashion world. Since then, she has been committed to helping grow young technology companies.

Lillian received an undergraduate degree from Yale University in 2008.

Henry Marshall

Henry is also assisting with deal flow and due diligence at Marlborough. Previously, Henry worked as a consultant with Accordion Partners focusing on finance and strategy for private equity and venture capital backed businesses.  In this capacity he supported successful product line expansions, business reorganizations, and cash flow optimization initiatives.  Prior to Accordion Partners, Henry worked in investment banking at Morgan Stanley in the Global Industrials Group.  While there he played a part in a number of successful M&A transactions, equity offerings, and debt refinancings.  Before working with Morgan Stanley, Henry was a Senior Associate on the Strategic Analysis & Sourcing team for The Riverside Company, a middle-market focused private equity firm.  In this capacity Henry served as an in-house consultant managing cost reduction initiatives across the global portfolio.


Henry received an MBA from NYU Stern in 2014 and an undergraduate degree from Middlebury College in 2007 where he majored in English.
